I’ve been watching a lot of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic in order to learn more about the true meaning of friendship (it’s not working). There was one very special episode about racism (and zebras!), but really the show has gotten me thinking about “cutie marks”, that mark on a pony’s rump they get sometime in childhood that shows what makes them special and different from all other ponies. It’s like pony puberty or some shit. There are lots of closeups on young ponies’ blank rumps as they try desperately to find what defines them. Through some leap my brain assigned Vincent’s tattoo to be his own cutie mark. After I found this all too full featured Pony Creator, I knew what had to be done. Also, this thing generates “ponycodes” to allow you to recreate and edit other people’s ponies, which seems to work nicely as a parallel for the hanky code.
