So the cool thing about the internet is, if you make something, it’s gonna get ripped off from here to next Tuesday. But I won’t let the fact that the website skreened.com is selling “distressed” versions of my but first, coffee type distress me! I’ll sell my own versions! And pass the savings on to you!

This morning I was late for work because after posting the self & otter photo, I started second guessing my recent habit of instagramming my sketchbook (most due to convenience since a lot of the drawings are done on my lunch break at work) and decided to scan and clean up the piece. I’ve also gone back and forth in the past with moleskine scans as to whether or not to make them black and white or leave the natural color of the page. My new sketchbook also seems yellower than past ones, so that’s another aesthetic consideration, but then I started third guessing that choice because of the immediacy of the photo, first thought best thought, blah blah blah. In the end I left it. Part of my philosophy for make something awful is to keep it quick and not edit myself. Though, I do think I could stand for some refinement in my resolutions. My decision seems to ahve worked out because the original post has gotten more notes than anything else I’ve posted recently (save for butts, which were also photos instead of scans. and also butts.). Could this possibly mean content trumps presentation?!
